During 43 years, the Simón Bolivar National Award for Journalism has endeavored to recognize the best journalistic contents in the country. Its mission is to become a reference of excellence in the practice of journalism and an incentive for this discipline, which is essential to the reinforcement of democracy.
From 2013, the Award entered a new phase, echoing the changes in communications and, from a conceptual and operational viewpoint, it began to develop relevant updates.
